Eligibility
Anyone may apply for admission to the program, however, priority for enrollment is given to FSU students, FSU faculty and staff, and alumni.
Our program serves children from 6 weeks through 48 months of age. Children who will be 48 months of age before September 1 (VPK age-eligible) are not eligible for placement at our program and will not be entered into the Admissions Pool. Families seeking care for children meeting this age criterion may contact our office for information regarding other available resources. Applications
A completed application must be submitted to the FSU Childcare & Early Learning Program Office to apply for admission to our center. When the completed application is received in our office, the child is placed in our Admissions Pool. The application is available on our website at this link, Enrollment–Waitlist Application.
Admissions Pool
FSU Childcare & Early Learning Program maintains one centralized Admissions Pool for all children. The Admissions Pool consists of applications submitted by families interested in enrolling their child in the program. To be considered for admission, a completed enrollment application must be submitted online. Once an application is received, the child is added to the Admissions Pool.
Our enrollment process does not operate as a traditional first-come, first-served waiting list. The Admissions Pool is a collection of applications from families interested in enrolling their child in the program. Inclusion in the Application Pool means your application has been received and will be considered when an appropriate opening becomes available. Applications are not reviewed or selected solely based on the date they are received. While application date is considered, enrollment offers are based on multiple factors. Numerical positions are not assigned within the Admissions Pool. We are unable to provide families with a specific rank, placement number, or position within the pool. Inclusion in the Admissions Pool does not guarantee an offer of enrollment. When openings occur, applications are reviewed based on the program's current enrollment needs, eligibility requirements, and established enrollment priorities.
