All requests must be submitted in writing.
CIES Students may receive student rates for two semesters. The program will consider extensions on a case by case basis.
Special student Rate- Parents who are enrolled as special students may request, in writing, to receive the student rate. The program will consider requests on a case by case basis.
Non-Student Rate
Faculty/Staff-Parent must be employed as an FSU faculty member, OPS, USPS or A&P staff member, FSU Visiting Scholar/Researcher/Post Doc. FSU employees enrolled as students or as a student using the university tuition waiver will receive the non-student rate.
Childcare Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS Grant)
The CCAMPIS grant is a federal grant that supports the participation of low-income parents in post-secondary education through the provision of campus-based child care services. This grant allows campus-based childcare programs to offer reduced and sliding scale rates for Pell Grant eligible/recipient students and military-connected student parents, as well as additional childcare tuition discounts to low-income graduate student parents. More information on the CCAMPIS Grant: https://www2.ed.gov/programs/campisp/index.html.
To receive the Pell Grant student parent rates, the parent must be eligible to receive or be receiving Pell Grant funds. To receive the Military connected student parent rate, the student must be in veteran or active duty status or have a spouse in veteran or active duty status.
